Surviving Earth is the debut feature from writer-director Thea Gajić, produced by Film4 and set in the heart of Bristol. The film follows Vlad, a Serbian musician navigating the rising success of his band, a fragile relationship with his daughter, and the pull of past addictions.

Thunderdrum composer Hugo Brijs wrote the score, blending subtle, emotive textures with original Serbian-language songs performed on screen by the protagonist and his band. The music is tightly woven into the fabric of the story, shifting between personal, lived-in moments and scenes of charged performance.

The film premiered at SXSW 2025 with release later in the year.
